The helmet law in Georgia
Georgia requires every rider and passenger to wear a helmet. Of the 196 riders killed here in 2023 whose helmet use was known, 91% were wearing one; across all 18 all-rider jurisdictions the figure is 90%. That is what near-universal compliance looks like.
What this means for a rider's policy
In a mid-table state the balance is even: carry UM/UIM and medical payments at sensible limits, and decide collision and comprehensive on what the bike is worth and whether it is financed. The motorcycle page takes each line in turn.
Riders in Georgia with the closest death rates are in Arizona (9), Maryland (8.8), Nevada (8.8).
RVs and trailers in Georgia
RV insurance rules are mostly the same from state to state: a motorhome needs the state's auto liability like any car; a towable trailer usually takes its on-road liability from the tow vehicle's policy, so the trailer's own policy is about physical damage and contents. What changes with Georgia's climate and roads is which claims are likely — hail and storms for trailers stored outdoors, breakdowns far from service on long-distance trips. Georgia's minimum auto liability limits are set by state law and are not printed here (see methodology); check them with the state before buying a minimum-limits policy.
